i-SCAN Method™ Terms of Use and Licensing

The purpose of the i-SCAN Method™ is to help founders and entrepreneurs evaluate the structural viability of their ideas before investing time and capital. To ensure this knowledge reaches those who need it most, we operate under a dual-licensing model that encourages free education while protecting the authenticity of our brand.

1. Free Use of the Framework (Content License)

The visual document of the i-SCAN Framework is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
This means that founders, university professors, mentors, incubators, and entrepreneurship support organizations (such as SCORE) are completely free to:

• Download, print, and share the framework.
• Use and teach the 6 steps and the 5 structural flags in their classes, workshops, or mentoring sessions.
• Adapt the material (provided appropriate credit is given to the original author and the contributions are distributed under the same terms).

2. Trademark and Certification Protection (What is NOT Permitted)

Although the conceptual content of the framework is open-source, the commercial name i-SCAN Method™, i-SCAN Framework™, and their associated logos are the exclusive property of the author (Trademarks). The Creative Commons license DOES NOT grant the right to use our brand identity for misleading, for-profit purposes. The following actions are strictly prohibited without prior written authorization:

• Selling, marketing, or promoting training programs under the title of “Official i-SCAN Certification”.
• Issuing titles, diplomas, or commercial accreditations that use the i-SCAN brand (e.g., “i-SCAN Certified Coach” or “i-SCAN Practitioner”).
• Using our logo or commercial name in any manner that implies an official endorsement, association, or sponsorship on our part.

In short: You are free to use the method to teach and help others. You are not free to use our brand to sell certifications or claim an official representation that you do not hold.

3. Verification Badge and Official Directory

To protect entrepreneurs from imitations or fraudulent courses, we have established a Badge of Authenticity (“Verified i-SCAN Partner”).

If a company, accelerator, or consultant claims to offer an official certification or an accredited workshop of the i-SCAN Method™, they will be listed in our Public Directory of Authorized Partners. If they do not appear on this list and cannot display our verifiable badge, it is an unauthorized program.

4. Commercial Licensing and Accreditations

If you represent a commercial organization, university, or consulting network and wish to become an Official Partner to issue i-SCAN Method™ certifications with our corporate backing, please contact us directly at info@isanmethod.com to evaluate a licensing agreement.
